Swallowed by Grace – Rev Lucy Burden
In this sermon Rev Lucy Burden introduces us to an angry Jonah and asks us to consider what makes us angry. Jonah’s anger stemmed from the grace and mercy extended to the Ninevites as they responded to the message he brought them.
Jonah is a ‘reluctant prophet’, frustrated by the perception that God’s will and his expectation differs. Lucy challenges us to taste God’s mercy and delight when this mercy is poured out to others.
Lucy joined the team in St Mark’s in 2017. As Curate, Lucy assists William in the leadership of St Mark’s.
